Keep The Good Times Rolling

Although the Ottawa Senators may look better than the Capitals tonight in their retro uniforms and they have the advantage of the home crowd, the Caps must build off their 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres at the Phone Booth.

Since taking over for Braden Holtby, Michael Neuvirth has been playing great. His 2.92 GAA and his .889 Save Percentage has been a huge reason the Capitals were able to grab a point from a then undefeated New Jersey Devils on the road and a big two points at home against the Sabres on Sunday.

The good times against the Senators need to continue. In the last four match ups, the Caps have posted a 3-1 record versus the Ottawa Senators dating back to October 15th, 2011. Jason Spezza not playing tonight due to an upper body injury is a huge bonus. Alfredsson has also missed some practice time recently due to the flu. His status is uncertain but what is certain, is trying to discover this mans weaknesses:

Craig Anderson

Craig Anderson has been stellar this season thus far. He has only allowed three goals in four games for a .79 GAA and a .973 save percentage. This does not bode well for a Capitals teams that doesn't score many goals to begin with.

After four scoreless games, Alex Ovechkin finally came through with a PP goal or, just a goal depending on how you look at it. Seeing The Great 8 struggle is as tough to watch the last time as it was the first time. Hopefully his goal in Sunday's game gets him rolling. The Caps really need him back to his high scoring ways. The interesting thing is, is that he will continue to be paired with Joey Crabb and Jay Beagle. Not exactly a pair of Caps players that one would think of to be paired with a struggling superstar to feed him for goals. Maybe Adam Oates knows something we don't know.

Brooks Laich will not play but he did travel with the team for tonight's game. This is a positive sign for the Caps in the coming days. He is such a critical part to the lineup and having him back in the lineup for Thursday nights games against Toronto on the road would be huge!
